§ 01Why Trivarna

Why a foundation for nine commitments?

Most charitable trusts choose a single cause and go deep. Trivarna took a different path — because the people we mean to serve rarely live their lives in tidy categories. A child who drops out of school is also a child whose mother has no income, whose grandmother has no medical access, whose village has no clean water. The nine focus areas in our trust deed are not nine separate departments. They are nine angles on one question: what does the public good look like in practice?

We are a new trust, registered on 2 May 2026, with no track record yet to point to. What we bring instead is clarity of intent, disciplined governance, and trustees with decades of combined experience in social service, business, and community work. We are publishing our plans openly — including the gaps — because that is how trust gets built.

§ 02Our Signature Commitment

Recognising those who serve quietly.

Across every field, there are people doing extraordinary service and never being thanked. The teacher who stays back for the slowest reader. The ASHA worker walking eight kilometres to a delivery. The volunteer who shows up at every camp and never asks for a name plate.

Honouring Achievers is the commitment that gives Trivarna its particular character. We exist, in part, to thank them publicly — through awards, citations, and lasting documentation of their contribution.

Recognition is not a side activity for us. It is its own form of public good.

Recognition tells a society what it values, and the next generation what is worth aspiring to.

§ 03Our Purpose

A foundation for the long work of public good.

Trivarna Foundation was established to advance public welfare across nine interconnected domains — from a child’s first day at school to a community’s recovery from disaster, from a yoga student’s first breath to an unsung hero’s long-overdue recognition.

We believe meaningful change happens when education, health, culture, and community all move forward together — patiently, in partnership with the people already doing the work.

§ 04In practice

What public good looks like, in practice.

Concrete examples of the work Trivarna intends to take on — small in scale, specific in design.

Education

A library where there isn't one

A village in Tumakuru taluk has 340 children and no library. Trivarna’s first planned education programme is a small reading room with 800 books, a part-time librarian, and Saturday storytelling sessions. Cost: about three lakh rupees a year.

Honouring Achievers

The teacher nobody thanked

She has taught at the same government school for 28 years. Three generations of one family have learned to read from her. She has never been invited to a felicitation. Trivarna’s first recognition cycle will identify three such teachers in Karnataka.

Health

A medical camp that returns

Most rural health camps come once and never again. Trivarna’s planned model is a four-camp cycle in the same village across one year — same families, follow-up care, real records. We are scoping the first cluster in Sira taluk.

Indicative examples. Specific programmes will be announced as they are scoped and funded.

§ 05What we do

Nine commitments, one foundation.

Each focus area is grounded in our trust deed and treated with the same care.

§ 06Trustees

Led by a committed team of four.
